very helpfull in telling us how to get to various places for shopping and where to eat
The owners were really personable and friendly, and the room was nice and cozy.
It had an older feel which I'm just not that into.
The people who work there are very nice. It was a great place to stay for one night while on a road trip.
The continental breakfast was ok. Adding some bananas would be great.
Bathroom no surface for stuff
The owners are very polite. The rooms are very clean with a personal touch. We greatly enjoyed our stay there and will do so in the future.
More than your everyday motel, it has Indivdual style with nice personal touches. Friendly staff offered good advice on places to eat (We tried "Petra" - autentic Eastern Mediterranean food - also worth a visit). Despite being on a major road, traffic noise was not obtrusive. Loved having a proper tablecloth on a shared table with fellow guests at breakfast - small touch, but adds to the experience.
Location is on a main route through Erie but the owners had done an excellent job of making the place look attractive and controlling the traffic noise levels. Sound insulation between rooms could be better if you have noisy neighbors.
friendly staff - very clean room - convenient to major travel arteries
Friendly staff - family owned and run business and the place shows that attentiveness
It was a welcome change from all the chain hotels/motels
It's cleanliness!!! The cleanest room I have ever stayed in!!! The heated pool!!! One gal in our party is a high school swimming coach. She was so excited to take a swim at 8:30am.! The continental breakfast was a bonus!! Friendly staff!!!
I liked the "homey" feeling and appearance of the hotel and great service from the staff. There was a feeling of general comfort and ease throughout my stay. I am glad that the owners are very conscious about providing top notch quality customer service.
The round tables are somewhat low for tall people and the rooms are a bit small. It will be great if they were spacious but they are comfortable overall. It is a bit awkward that the desk attendant hides behind a wooden cubicle as if trying to avoid people or gives the impression that there is no staff to attend customers at the moment someone walks in.
This is a lovely little family owned motel. It took me back in time to travelling to the usa with my parents in the late 50's and early 60'S. We enjoyed our stay - very close to Presque Isle State Park. We swam in the outdoor pool and had a good night's sleep before continuing on our journey to Ann Arbor, Michigan. We were pleased to sign the guest book - the first entries from Nova Scotia, Canada. A nice change from hotel chains!!!
The Inn was quaint and lovely. I loved the fact that it was privately owned and operated by a 3rd generation family. There was ownership in the inn and it was visible.
If you want to stay in a classic 1950's style (but upscale) motel this is the place for you. "U" shaped building with a pool in the middle.
Breakfast was spartan.
The receptionist at the dest was extremely helpful. The room was cozy and pleasant.
Mattresses weree a bit on the soft side; but did not create any particular back problems.
